Which day are you doing the lanterns?
The lantern release will take place exclusively on Saturday and Sunday, with no release scheduled for Friday.
What time will the lanterns be released?
On Saturday, the lantern release will be at 9:00 pm, just before Tracy Lawrence’s performance.
On Sunday, the lantern release will be at 10:00 pm, just after Lady A’s performance.
What if I don’t want to light a lantern and I just want to come watch?
There are no spectator passes for the lantern release, this is a ticket-exclusive activity. Ticket prices are inclusive of all events.
Do I have to buy my lantern at the event?
No, lanterns will be provided. You can purchase extra lanterns at the merch tent.
How do I get my lantern?
After checking in, you will get a golden ticket that you redeem at the Merch Tents, where you’ll receive your lantern kit and prayer flag.
Do I need to bring a lighter for my lantern?
No, lighters will be provided at the event.
Can I bring my own supplies to decorate my lantern?
Markers are available at the event and come free of charge, but you’re welcome to bring your own decorating supplies.
Is there a specific spot where we’re lighting and releasing our lanterns?
The lantern release will take place in the General Admission, Reserved Access, and Super VIP areas. Lanterns will be released only at a specified time. Please do not release your lanterns before it is announced.
How will I know when to light my lantern?
The Night Lights team will provide guidance on when to light your lanterns and instructions on how to light them properly. Please do not release them until it is time.
Is there a limit to how many lanterns one person can release?
No, you can release as many lanterns as you have. Each ticket comes with 1 lantern. If you purchased Priority Access, you will receive an extra lantern with each ticket purchased.
What should I do if my lantern doesn’t light?
Please ask for assistance and someone will be there to help.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Stars of Texas is a rain-or-shine event. That means, there will be no refunds due to weather. If you’ve already redeemed your lantern, you can take it home with you.
